To Get Started
Please join us at our next upcoming Volunteer Orientation! Please see our events calendar and click on Volunteer Training for dates.
- Sign up is required - click here to sign up.
- Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign in. We start orientations on time and will be unable to accept late attendees.
- Seating is limited to the first 60 people.
- Sessions are held at Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands.
Please note: we use peanut butter throughout our facility.
School-Required or Court-Ordered Community Service
A minimum of 20 hours is required for individuals. We can no longer provide community service for anyone under 18 years old. Community service will be served with our Empties for Animals team, sorting bottles and cans to help achieve our fundraising goals. For safety and liability reasons, there is no direct contact with the animals. Attending an information session is not required for community service - all you need to do is fill out a Community Service Application.
