You can put your empty bottles and cans to work for homeless animals.

In 2015 the Humane Society collected over 1.6 million bottles and cans from individuals and community groups. The redemption value of those containers totaled $130,515.94 for the care of homeless animals!

You can help:
  • Drop off your redeemable bottles and cans at the Humane Society or any Goldstein Auto location. All four Goldstein Auto dealerships have a place to drop off your bottles and cans.

  • Hold a bottle drive. You or your community group can collect bottles and cans from friends and neighbors to be donated to the Humane Society.

  • Collect bottles and cans at your office. There's plenty of soda being consumed at most of our workplaces. Ask if it's okay to bring those empties to the Humane Society.

  • Collect bottles and cans at your social club or other venues. Anywhere there are beverages being consumed, there's an opportunity to help animals.

  • Volunteer to help sort bottles and cans. All of our bottles and cans are sorted by manufacturer, container type and size before being picked up for recycling. Volunteers do it all. Many groups of volunteers come together to help with sorting. It's a fun group activity for everyone and you can see the good you are doing.
